Carvana Adds Vehicle Reconditioning Center and 100 Rio Linda Jobs

RIO LINDA, CA — A longstanding Rio Linda automotive hub is set to see significant growth.

Online auto retailer Carvana announced today that it is adding Inspection and Reconditioning Center (IRC) capabilities to its existing ADESA Brasher’s wholesale auto auction facility located right here in Rio Linda.

The expansion is slated to bring approximately 100 new skilled and entry-level jobs to the local community, while boosting vehicle delivery speeds across Northern California.

What’s Coming to Rio Linda

ADESA Brasher’s has been a fixture in the Sacramento area wholesale auto market for nearly 50 years. Under the new plan, its sprawling 110-acre Rio Linda property—which features over 7,000 parking spaces—will pull double duty.

Alongside its traditional in-lane and digital wholesale auctions, the facility will now house Carvana’s retail inspection, detailing, and fulfillment teams.

Carvana plans to utilize its proprietary software platform, CARLI, to manage operations and integrate the Rio Linda site into its national vehicle reconditioning network. For local and regional buyers, having a dedicated inventory pool in town means a wider vehicle selection and the potential for same-day delivery on select purchases.

“Bringing IRC capabilities to ADESA Brasher’s strengthens our national network while improving the experience for both retail and wholesale customers in Northern California,” said Brian Boyd, Senior Vice President of Inventory at Carvana. “We’re excited to grow our local team and build on the site’s nearly 50-year history as we bring greater selection, faster delivery, and expanded capabilities to customers across the region.”

Local Hiring Underway

The expansion brings a notable economic boost to Rio Linda, with hiring already underway. Carvana expects the site integration to create about 100 new positions across inspection, reconditioning, and logistics/vehicle fulfillment.

According to the company:

  • Roles range from entry-level to skilled trade positions.
  • No college degree is required for these roles.
  • Positions include on-the-job training and comprehensive benefits packages.

Local residents interested in applying for open positions can view listings and apply directly through Carvana’s careers portal.
