Elkhorn Moose Lodge 2060 will open its doors to the community for the “Moose on the Loose” Carnival on Saturday, Sept. 26, offering a full day of family-friendly games, contests and activities.
The free-admission carnival will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, located at 6003 Rio Linda Boulevard.
Activities will include carnival games, a watermelon-eating contest, chicken squat, face painting, prizes and more. Food will also be available for purchase throughout the event.
Admission is free, but game tickets will be required for some activities. Ticket packages will be offered at several donation levels, and tickets may also be purchased on the day of the carnival.
Organizers say the event is designed so that everyone can participate and leave with a prize—and, hopefully, a smile.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ALS Association, the Moose General Fund supporting local community-service events, and the Mooseheart and Moosehaven charitable programs.
Families and friends from throughout Rio Linda and Elverta are invited to attend.
