Classic Chrome and Custom Cycles: 19th Annual Show Returns to Dry Creek Ranch

RIO LINDA, CA — The roar of engines and the gleam of polished chrome are set to return to one of Rio Linda’s most historic settings this fall. The American Legion Riders Chapter 521 and the Cherrietters Car Club have officially announced the date for their highly anticipated 19th Annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2025.

The event will once again transform the grounds of the Dry Creek Ranch House, located at 6852 Dry Creek Road. Running from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the show offers a nostalgic trip through automotive history, featuring everything from vintage hot rods and mid-century classics to custom motorcycles. The Ranch House provides a picturesque backdrop for enthusiasts and families alike to admire the craftsmanship of these meticulously maintained machines.

A major draw for this year’s event is the expansive Swap Meet, which is set to open at daybreak. For those hunting for elusive vintage parts, automotive memorabilia, or unique collectibles, the swap meet offers $20 \times 20$ spaces for vendors. Additionally, standard $10 \times 10$ vendor spaces are available for local businesses and artisans, making it a diverse marketplace that serves as much more than just a car show.

Beyond the aesthetic appeal of the vehicles, the event serves a profound purpose. All proceeds from the show are dedicated to benefiting Local Veteran Programs and supporting the broader Rio Linda and Elverta community. By attending or entering a vehicle, participants are directly contributing to the welfare of those who served in the armed forces, ensuring that Post 521 can continue its mission of veteran advocacy and local outreach.

The success of this 19th annual tradition is made possible through the generous support of several local sponsors. Key contributors this year include College Oak Towing, Arnold’s Towing, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Route 40 Classics, Nor Cal Car Culture, and Gilchrist Golf Cars. Their involvement highlights the strong tie between the local business community and the philanthropic efforts of the American Legion Riders.

For those interested in showcasing their own classic car or motorcycle, registration is currently open. Prospective participants can reach out via email at [email protected] for entry details. Specific inquiries regarding car show registration can be directed to Bob at 916-873-5007, while those looking to secure a vendor or swap meet spot should contact Cindy at 909-499-4278.

As the community looks forward to September, this event stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Rio Linda. It is a day where history, hobbyism, and heart converge, celebrating the mechanical wonders of the past while providing essential support for the veterans of our present. Whether you are a die-hard “gearhead” or simply looking for a Saturday morning outing, the 19th Annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Show promises to be a highlight of the 2026 local calendar.

What kind of classic vehicle or motorcycle would you be most excited to see at the show this year?
