RIO LINDA, CA – An evening of neighbors, food, music, and community spirit is coming to Rio Linda as National Night Out returns on Tuesday, August 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rio Linda Public Library, 6724 Sixth Street.

Hosted and sponsored by the Sacramento Public Library’s Rio Linda Branch, the event is presented in partnership with the Rio Linda Elverta Neighborhood Association, the Rio Linda Elverta Teen Council & Youth Program, and Boddie Family Boxing.
Best of all, everything is free!

Residents can enjoy free food, free drinks, free music, and free family activities throughout the evening. Community organizations will also be on hand with informational exhibits, youth resources, and safety demonstrations, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the services and programs available in the Rio Linda and Elverta community.
National Night Out is an annual nationwide campaign that encourages neighbors to come together, strengthen community ties, and build positive relationships with the public safety agencies and organizations that serve them. It’s an opportunity to meet your neighbors, reconnect with old friends, and spend an evening celebrating what makes the Rio Linda and Elverta community special.

Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here for decades, organizers hope you’ll stop by, enjoy a free meal, listen to live music, and discover the many local groups working to make our community a better place.
Community groups, nonprofits, and organizations interested in participating can still reserve exhibit space by contacting Stacey Bastian at 916-217-1485.
