Aftershock returns to Sacramento’s Discovery Park from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 4, with more than 140 bands performing across five stages. Fans heading in from Rio Linda and Elverta should plan for heat as well as music: the forecast calls for highs near 100 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Check the latest forecast before leaving, bring water and allow time for breaks during the hottest part of the day.

Festivalgoers may bring one factory-sealed water bottle or an empty reusable bottle to fill at hydration stations. Glass and metal bottles are not allowed. The festival does not permit re-entry, except for eligible campers and guests with a Jampack hotel package, so it is worth checking the festival rules before heading through the gates.
There is no festival parking inside Discovery Park. Aftershock offers a paid park-and-ride shuttle from Cal Expo, where parking is included with the shuttle pass. Limited paid lots near the park require an approximately 20-minute walk to the entrance. SacRT also plans supplemental bus service between downtown Sacramento and the Jibboom Street side of the festival. Fans should account for those walks when planning for the weekend heat.
A complimentary bike valet will be available outside both festival entrances. The American River Bike Trail through Discovery Park will close from 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5.
