Rio Linda High Graduate Nathan Holder Dies at 41


The Rio Linda community mourns the loss of Nathan Eugene Holder, a 2003 graduate of Rio Linda High School, who passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 41.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 18, at Victory Headquarters Christian Center in Anniston, Alabama, with Bishop Charles D. Gregory officiating.

Nathan was educated in Sacramento and attended Grant High School before graduating from Rio Linda High School in 2003. After relocating to Alabama, he became a member of Victory Headquarters Christian Center.

He was known for his love of the outdoors, especially crabbing, fishing, and camping in Bodega Bay, California. After moving to Alabama, he developed a passion for freshwater fishing and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Dennis and Bonita Holder; his grandmother, Dorothy Holder; his daughter, Destiny Rudolph-Holder; his sister, Trineshia J. Holder; his brother, Dennis Holder Jr.; his niece, Cadence Holder; his nephew, Daxton Holder; his sister-in-law, Courtney Johnson; his special friend, Whitney Forbes; and his bonus children, Jordyn and Elijah.

He is also remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and childhood companions, including Alan Hill Jr., Orlando Rhinehart, and Kevin Pinkston.
