The Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District board will hold a public hearing Monday on its proposed operating and capital improvement budgets for fiscal year 2026–27. Directors could vote to adopt the budgets after hearing public comment.
The board will also consider an item concerning a new water-rate study. No new water rates are proposed for adoption at this meeting. The agenda does not specify what action on the study might lead to or when any resulting rate proposal would come before the public.
The regular agenda also includes reports from the general manager and district engineer, general manager recruitment matters, and a proposed antenna and radio-unit replacement on a district water tank.
The meeting begins Monday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Visitors/Depot Center, 6730 Front St., Rio Linda. Members of the public may comment during the budget hearing and on agenda items as the board considers them. The agenda also provides a two-minute public-comment period for matters within the district’s jurisdiction that are not on the agenda.
The budgets and water-rate study remain proposals until the board takes action.
